Deadlines
Registration: All registrations must be received by Tuesday, October 24, 2006. Register early because space is limited. Only Administrators may register for one day.
Lodging: Reserve your room(s) at the hotel immediately to guarantee yourself accommodations. If problems arise, the reservation can be cancelled within the hotel's regulations. Tell the agent you are with the USOE “Connecting the Dots” Arts Conference when you ask for the state rate ($63+tax per night). There are two hotels where participants can receive the state rate for this conference. Hilton Garden Inn reservation number: 1-866-605-1122; Marriott Courtyard reservation number: 1-801-217-2300.
Cost
Admission: $50.00. Make checks/money orders payable to: UAAHE – (not USOE!). Checks written to USOE will be returned for correction. No refunds after November 10th. Mail check with registration form to: Carol Goodson, Utah State Office of Education,

Incentives: Intended for those NOT receiving financial assistance from outside their school to attend.

Bring a Full School Team of a principal + 7 teachers and pay $300 for the entire conference.

Bring a School Team of a principal + 3 or 4 teachers and pay $190 for the entire conference. A smart plan might be assigning team members to various grade levels – or artform focus.
For schools under 10 teachers, a School Team = a principal +1 or 2 teachers, and pay $75 for entire conference.

First team from each district to return completed registration forms and fees will receive $20 in teacher resources.
Credit (An NCLB Content Area Inservice) Literacy and the Arts
Re-Licensure points: One point per hour of attendance.
State Inservice Credit: 2.0 total semester hour when successfully completed attendance sheet (minimum 14 hours) and classroom implementation report part I are received by May 1, 2007.
University Credit: University credit (2.0 sem. hours) may be available.
