Minimum Endorsement Requirements
Existing Elementary, Middle, or Secondary Education License, and
Transcripts showing sixteen (16) semester credits completed from the course information list. See below for more information.
Minimum SAEP Requirements
Existing Elementary, Middle, or Secondary Education License, and
An assignment that requires the requested endorsement, and
Transcripts showing a minimum of nine (9) semester hours of completed course work related to the requested endorsement, and
A plan submitted to and approved by the state specialist outlining all requirements; identify when and where requirements will be (or have been) fulfilled.
Course Information
Communications Technology - 2-3 credits
Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) - 2-3 credits
Construction Technology - 2-3 credits
Energy, Power and Transportation Technology - 2-3 credits
Facilities, Equipment Maintenance and Repair - 2 credits
Manufacturing Technology - 2-3 credits
USOE New CTE Introduction Teacher Training - 1 credit
USOE Safety Workshop - .5 credit
Other Pre-Approved by State specialist
The Technology and Engineering (6-8) Endorsement allows an educator to teach the following courses:
CTE Introduction (Technology and Engineering)
Exploring Technology
Introduction to Communications Technology
Complete the following to apply for a Technology & Engineering Education Endorsement or SAEP:
Select the endorsement needed and download the application form.
Fill out the form, including university/college course numbers, to indicate that minimum requirements in each area have been met.
Indicate whether you are applying for an endorsement or a SAEP.
Attach a copy of your transcripts and highlight corresponding classes.
Attach a copy of any applicable professional certifications.
Send the highlighted transcripts, professional certifications, and completed form, along with the appropriate processing fee to:
