CTE Scholarships and Tuition Awards are for outstanding Career and Technical Education (CTE) students. The awards cover up to one year of tuition. Eligible applicants have a 1:2 odds of receiving an award. Would you spend four to five hours compiling a portfolio to receive well over $1,500? That's the reality of students applying for the over 100 CTE scholarships and tuition awards.
Qualifications
Candidates must be a legal U.S. resident, have senior status and graduate from a Utah-sponsored, public, secondary school before September 15, 2013. Please note that several colleges and universities also require a 3.0 cumulative GPA . Immediate employment after completing training program is a requirement for all potential award recipients. Employment goal must be clearly stated in the student's narrative. Address 1) what employment the student intends to seek and 2) how the student plans to obtain related employment once training is completed. Each nominee must complete all aspects of the portfolio. Mail or hand deliver application to the Utah State Office of Education. Applications must be postmarked by February 25, 2013.
