Minimum Endorsement Requirements

• Existing CTE/APP, CTE, or Secondary Education License, and
• Bachelor's degree in marketing plus two (2) years related work experience, or
• Two-year associate's degree in marketing plus four (4) years related work experience, or
• Six (6) years of appropriate related work experience.

• Existing CTE/APP, CTE, or Secondary Education License, and
• An assignment that requires the requested endorsement, and
• Transcripts showing a minimum of nine (9) semester hours of completed course work related to the requested endorsement or two (2) years of approved endorsement related work experience, and
• A plan submitted to and approved by the state specialist outlining the post-secondary courses or USOE approved marketing inservice classes that will be taken to fulfill the endorsement requirements.

Course Information

• Any post-secondary course, pre-approved by the state marketing specialist, that directly applies to marketing.

• UACTE Conference – Marketing Session (Three Years)
• USOE Sponsored Marketing Inservice Classes in Endorsement Related Field

The Marketing (Career and Technical) Endorsement allows an educator to teach the following courses:

• Fashion Merchandising Advanced
• Financial Services Marketing
• Insurance Marketing
• International Marketing

• Marketing, Introduction
• Marketing
• Marketing, Advanced
• Real Estate
• Retailing
• Sports and Entertainment Marketing
• Travel and Tourism

Complete the following to apply for a Marketing Education Endorsement or a SAEP:

• Select the endorsement needed and download the application form.
• Fill out the form, including university/college course numbers, to indicate that minimum requirements in each area have been met.
• Indicate whether you are applying for an endorsement or a SAEP.
• Attach a copy of your transcripts and highlight corresponding classes.
• Attach a copy of any applicable professional certifications.
• Attach a copy of letters to verify employment.
• Send the highlighted transcripts, professional certifications, and completed form, along with the appropriate processing fee (see information above), to:
