Minimum Endorsement Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, and
• Existing Secondary Education License, and
• Transcripts showing sixty-three (63) semester credits completed from the required course list. See below.

Minimum SAEP Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, and
• Existing Secondary Education License, and
• An assignment that requires the requested endorsement, and
• Transcripts showing a minimum of thirty-two (32) hours of completed course work related to the requested endorsement, and
• A plan submitted to and approved by the state specialist outlining all requirements and when/where they will be (or have been) fulfilled.

Required Courses - Business Core

• Accounting - 3 credits
• Business Law - 3 credits
• Business Writing or Technical Writing - 3 credits
• Finance - 3 credits
• Macro, Global, International Economics - 3 credits
• Microeconomics - 3 credits
• Management - 3 credits
• Marketing - 3 credits

Required Courses - Business Information Technology

• Computer Information Literacy (CIL) Class or Exam - 3 credits
• Database (beyond CIL) - 1 credit
• Digital Media/Graphics Applications - 1 credit
• Keyboarding Class or Exam – 35 wpm - 1 credit
• Spreadsheets (beyond CIL) - 1 credit
• Web Page Design - 3 credits
• Word Processing (beyond CIL) - 1 credit

Elective Courses - Business Information Technology

• Information Technology
• Network Administration/LAN Management
• Operating Systems Windows Applications
• PC Hardware and Software
• Other courses may qualify, but require pre-approval by the USOE business education specialist
