Minimum Endorsement Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, and
• Existing CTE/APP, CTE, or Secondary Education License, and
• Transcripts showing fifteen (15) semester credits completed from the required courses list. See below.

Minimum SAEP Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, and
• Existing CTE/APP, CTE, or Secondary Education License, and
• An assignment that requires the requested endorsement, and
• Transcripts showing a minimum of nine (9) semester hours of completed course work related to the requested endorsement, and
• A plan submitted to and approved by the state specialist outlining all requirements and when/where they will be (or have been) fulfilled.

Required Courses

• Accounting - 3 credits
• Business Law - 3 credits
• Finance - 3 credits
• Macroeconomics - 3 credits
• Micro, Global or International Economics - 3 credits

The Banking and Finance Endorsement allows an educator to teach the following courses:

• Banking and Finance - CTE Business Education
• General Financial Literacy - General Core Course
