Helpdesk Instructions
Each Windows' Desktop has an icon that appears automatically and is linked directly to the HelpDesk. To place a HelpDesk Request:
Double click on the icon titled HelpDesk on your desktop.
Complete the form. It is helpful if you complete all the questions so the tech that is called to respond can be prepared. You don’t have to be extremely technical, just clear and concise when describing the problem.
Your request will go to the Helpdesk to be assigned to a tech and responded to as quickly as possible.
Using this form will not only expedite getting help, but makes it easier for the LAN staff to cover the building more efficiently by eliminating duplicate calls to more than one tech. Note: Please keep in mind this is only to be used if your Zone Administrator is not available.
If your machine is not available, you may call the HelpDesk Phone Line at 538-7970 to place a request. For after hours, call 538-7693.
