Licence Renewal - Level 1
Renewal requirements for a Level 1 Active Educator License:
A level 1 licence can be renewed if you have less then three years of contact experience after the level 1 licence was issued.
If you have had three years of experience in a Utah school after receiving your level 1 license, you must upgrade to the Level 2. For more information visit the Entry Years Enhancement (EYE).
If you have not taught three years in a Utah school, please, proceed below.

100 Professional Development Points over the past 3 years or teaching experience in a public or accredited private school (25 points per school year over previous 3 years). These points may not be carried over into the new license renewal period.

Submit the following any time after January 1 and before May 30 in year of expiration as entered in CACTUS:

a check for $65.00 made out to “USOE”

verification (transcripts, etc.) of your renewal points (if the form has been signed by your administrator, you need not send the verification documents).
