Advancement Award
(Scholarship)

Eligibility Information

The scholarships are for educators currently teaching math, chemistry, physics, physical science, and information or learning technology in a secondary school (grades 7-12), and special education PreK-12.

The scholarships are not intended for teachers who have already completed their degree program.

Teachers cannot receive both the Opportunity Award (Signing Bonus) and Advancement Awards (Scholarships) at the same time or within the four year teaching commitment time.

  • The teacher must be working for a district, be fully licensed or qualify for a temporary license under an authorization request.

  • Coursework leading to a license in counseling or administration is not part of the program. (see Qualified Educational Programs - PDF)
