What is NATIONAL BOARD CERTIFICATION?
National Board Certification is a demonstration of a candidate's teaching practice as measured against high and rigorous standards.
This professional certification is used in the Utah State Licensing System to certify Level 3 distinguished teaching in our schools.
It is also a means of professional growth and development. Teachers pursuing NB Certification complete a professional portfolio and take an in-depth content assessment. The process deepens subject matter knowledge and leads teachers to become more skillful in daily classroom instruction and student assessment.
