Physical Education Endorsement

Inservices/College Course Work/Demonstrated Competency

Endorsement Form - PDF

The minimum requirement for endorsement is sixteen (16) semester hours or twenty-four (24) quarter hours.  To convert quarter hours to semester hours multiply the number of quarter hours by .666.

[ ] Introduction, Administration, or Philosophy of Physical Education

[ ] Methods of Teaching Physical Education

[ ] Exercise Physiology

[ ] Motor Learning

[ ] Fitness for Life

[ ] Prevention and Treatment of Injuries

[ ] Current First Aid Certification

[ ] Current CPR Certification

[ ] Nutrition (Recommended -- Required 9-1-2009)

Complete the following as you apply for a Physical Education Endorsement:

  • Print Endorsement Form - PDF
  • Please place the course number in the box to indicate that the minimum requirement in each area has been met.  Where there is more than one box, there are additional courses required.
  • Acceptable lines of evidence include:
    - Approved professional development
    - University or college course work
    - Clearly demonstrated competency
  • Attach your original transcript(s), and highlight corresponding classes.
  • Send the highlighted transcript, the processing fee, and the completed form to:
