CTE Introduction Accountability
School Grant Application - Assessment Procedures

Expectations | Delivery Guidelines

Grant Applications

In order to receive state TLC funding, the district CTE director must annually submit a FY 2007 CTE Introduction District Grant Application, (MSWord OR PDF) that identifies the schools and CTE Introduction team leaders committed to providing the CTE Introduction program (due to USOE May 19, 2006).

In order to receive state Introduction funding, all jr. high/middle schools providing the 7th grade Introduction program must annually submit an ONLINE CTE Introduction School Grant Application during the first rotation of Introduction (October 20, 2006).

TLC School Grant Applications will be reviewed annually by state, district and school personnel. The 13 Section, 51 Indicator CTE Introduction Assessment Rubric (MSExcel OR PDF) will be used for the assessments. Grant Assessment will take place in November/December annually.

Written feedback on CTE Introduction Grant Application Assessments will be provided annually to district and school personnel. Grants which receive a NOT MET rating on ANY Section will be disapproved for funding the following year.

Grant Application Assessement Ratings

Committees assessing school grant applications will determine if each indicator is 'Met', 'Met with Stipulations', or 'Not Met'. Based on the rating rules for each section, the committee then determines a section rating. The Overall Grant Assessment Rating is then determined based on the following:

  •  All 13 Sections received MET Ratings = Approved (Full Funded)
  •  At least 10 of 13 Sections received MET Ratings = Approved with Stipulations (Full Funded)
  •  Fewer than 10 Sections received MET Ratings = Approved with Stipulations (50% Funded)
  •  ANY Section received a NOT MET Rating = Disapproved (Not Funded)
