Software Title:  Sticky Bear Typing Year Published:  2000
Suggested Age:   5+ years Rating:  Excellent
Description:  The Stickybear Typing program allows users to sharpen typing skills and achieve keyboard mastery with three engaging and amusing multi-level activities. Stickybear Keypress, for young players and beginners, allows typing practice from the simplest drills in home key position to complex exercises that require the full keyboard. Stickybear Thump builds typing skills in a fast-action game format. To prevent Stickybear from getting thumped by the keyboard robot, letters and words must be typed quickly and accurately. Users watch their scores improve along with their typing ability. In Stickybear Stories, users can practice and improve typing facility with entertaining text in a choice of categories. Timed practice or an accuracy mode may be selected. Users may test themselves for timing and accuracy and the program tracks progress and keeps records. The program contains 30 levels of difficulty; choose your own level! Level 30 contains the most commonly misspelled words. Improve your spelling! Stickybear Typing provides immediate feedback to let young and old users know how they're doing. Users automatically move to higher levels as they proceed.  School version includes resource binder.
