| Description: The 85-lesson program includes a textbook, correlated student software, teacher’s edition, and teacher’s management software, as well as student portfolio materials. Computer software correlated to the textbook helps students to first learn the alphabetic and top-row keyboard and numeric keypad, then document applications. Using a spiraling approach, the students incorporate what they’ve learned into increasingly complex documents. Separate sections within the lessons develop speed and accuracy with timed writings scored by the computer. The teacher’s management software records progress of student keyboarding and language arts activities as well as proofreads and grades students’ production work. Grading criteria can be controlled by the teacher. | ||
