| Description: Note: This is an older version. EMC Keyboarding and Applications is an innovative program for teaching keyboarding at the middle school level. The 90-lesson program includes a textbook, correlated student software, teacher’s edition, and teacher’s management software. In addition to computer keyboarding, the textbook and teacher’s edition also include information on using typewriters. The textbook incorporates a strong emphasis on the writing process and using the computer as a writing tool. Computer software correlated to the textbook helps students to learn new keys, practice, improve skills, and measure progress. A teacher’s management system records progress of student keyboarding and language arts activities according to grading criteria established by the teacher. | ||
