Utah Test Item Pool Service (UTIPS)
UTIPS Core was launched in 2011 in a collaborative effort between the Utah State Office of Education (USOE) and the Utah Education Network (UEN). UTIPS Core is a centralized service that is highly focused on classroom assessments. It is built using HTML 5 and CSS 3 standards.
UTIPS Core is available to Utah Educators for use in all courses (e.g., CTE, Social studies). Educators may write their own items for use with their students. Assessments may also be shared across classrooms, schools, and Utah.
The UTIPS item pool was realigned to the 2013 Utah Standards for ELA and mathematics, however new items have not been written. ELA, math and science teachers may consider using the SAGE Formative system which offers items written for the Utah Standards, including haptic (interactive) item types.
All UTIPS accounts are accessible through regionally located servers. Any questions should be directed to district educational technology staff, or the UTIPS helpdesk at (help[at]utips[dot]org(firstname.lastname@example.org))
