Interactive Video Conferencing - IVC (Polycom)

IVC is the state standard name for Interactive Video Conferencing and is sometimes referred to as Polycom. IVC is a two-way video Conference that can be used to connect up to three sites at one time.  More sites can be connected using an IVC bridge.  A bridge must be set up two weeks before the event to ensure the use of the bridge.

USOE uses two different types of IVC units Polycom and Tandberg.  Both are compatible with each other, but only a Polycom unit can be used by a bridge. The end site user MUST have one of the two types of units to participate in an IVC. USOE currently owns two Polycom units and uses two Tandberg units owned by UEN for a total of four units.

An IVC event can be used in one of the following USOE rooms:

  • Basement West
  • Basement East
  • USOE Studio
  • South Board Room
  • Rehab Conference room (156)
  • Admin Room
  • Room 221
  • Room 222
  • Room 241
  • Room 248
