Course Codes and Approval
"Headers" (those codes that end in 000) are not valid for assignments. They are there to help you find the code you need. Only the specific codes (those not ending in 000) are valid.
Codes that are marked as Inactive in the Active-Inactive column are not valid assignments. These codes were either used in the past and no longer valid, or will be used next year and are not valid for this year.
The Valid for Educator/Student column indicates whether a code applies to only students, only educators, both educators and students, or neither (usually headers and inactive codes).
The codes starting with numbers higher than 41 are for use by the Professional Development system and not for educator or student assignments.
Special note: Use the codes below for the appropriate year for all of the year end processing, and clearinghouse edit checks.

Additions and Changes
USOE publishes all changes and additions to the course listings for the next school year by October 1. Therefore, this form must be submitted to USOE no later than September 1 of the year preceding the school year you would like the new course to begin.
You may petition USOE to add a course to the state course listings in CACTUS for the next school year. This form will help ensure that we offer quality courses that will benefit students and align to our core.
