In these seminars participants will develop Student Performance Tasks, using a wide range of resources for informational texts across content areas as well as literary non-fiction, and examining student work to adjust instructional practices.
Each participant will be required to attend three Saturdays: two in the Fall and one in the Spring. Each participant will receive a stipend based on completion of a beginning Learning Needs Survey; an ending survey and the re-design of instruction and assessments for their classrooms or work with other teachers. There will be a maximum of 75 participants. Each session will be facilitated Christelle Estrada, USOE English Specialist.
