ProStart brings together the industry and the classroom. It gives students a platform to discover new interests and talents to open doors for fulfilling careers. Students participate in a curriculum that includes all facets of the industry, which sets a high standard of excellence for students and the industry.
ProStart is a two year, nationwide program that develops the best and brightest talent into tomorrow’s restaurant and foodservice leaders. ProStart serves 95,000 students at over 1,900 high schools in 48 states, Guam and U.S. military bases. A life changing experience for the students, educators and mentors that make up the program, ProStart trains students academically in the classroom and experientially on the job.
While attending high school, students can:
Learn the basics of the foodservice industry
Learn from a specially designed curriculum that emphasizes real-work experiences
Travel to a job-site where they can be given opportunities to practice what they have learned
